NEWS: Visits

(14 October 2008)

I visited North Lanarkshire last week, to talk at the North Lanarkshire Words Book Festival 2008. I met two groups of Primary 6 pupils at Coatbridge and Whifflet libraries. This is what it said in the programme-

'What is real? What is fantasy? It depends on what you believe – and sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference. Why do the villagers think Meg is a witch? What are the strange creatures Seth finds living in an old burial vault? I’ll be talking about my novel Woodenface, and other stories, where magic, danger and excitement lurk beneath the surface of everyday life. And Dilly-Lal, my dancing doll, will be coming too!'

I had a really great time! Thank you to all those enthusiastic readers who came to listen to me and ask all those interesting questions.
