Well, it was for me. I enjoyed it. I visited three schools in West Yorkshire - Rastrick High, Calder High and Holmfirth High - between 29 Sept and 1 Oct, spoke to about 250 Year 7 students altogether and had lunch with a sixth form literary group. It was a while since I had been in a school, and I wondered how I would find it, but it was just the same, and I felt at home immediately. I encountered a lot of enthusiasm for Woodenface, and there was no shortage of interesting questions. I'm compiling a list of them, and I'll put them on the website, with my replies, at some point. Meanwhile, you can always send me a question via the contact form.
The dancing dolls were hugely popular, though Mr Womersley lost the bottom part of his left leg at Holmfirth! That was even more fun than the dancing. I'm not sure whether it's reparable. He might have to hop in future. I'm planning more visits, and I'll give advance warning this time, as soon as dates are fixed.
